I was a little confused about the Multiple Baseline designs. I understand that to demonstrate the effectiveness of a treatment you must study it in several circumstances, but I think I am a little confused about the across subjects design. I see it as just being a number of subjects exposed to the same treatment but at different times. Is this right or am I missing something? I just want to make sure I'm not oversimplifying things.
I think you're right...instead of comparing the effectiveness of the treatment for the same subject in different situations, or for different behaviors, you just make the manipulation or treatment in the same situation for the same behaviors for different subjects.
Using an interval scale from 1 to 10, we calculated the mean, median, and mode of the results. The results came from one group of high school students and one group of college students. The scale was used in a test that measured the two groups for tendencies towards suicide.
